A New Year for us all, but what Mareld Projects are we looking forward to?

Hello, and a Happy New Year to you all!

I hope you're well rested after a night of celebrating your own way, whether that was out on the town with some drinks while watching the fireworks, or curled up on the sofa at home, eating a cozy dinner and watching something fun on the TV! Being the international crew that we are, we have been spread all over different European countries this festive period, visiting family members, friends and new cities!

Among the excessive meals, I also found some time to take stock of what great steps we've taken here at Mareld Projects over 2024, and look forward to what's yet to come in 2025!

The biggest project in 2024 has undoubtedly been the post-production of Checklist, our first feature-length film, due to make its cinematic debut later this month (at Bio Capitol, Gothenburg). It's been an enormous project, and we've been so lucky to work alongside so many enthusiastic and hard-working individuals as it's gone along.

Personally (other than a brief cameo as an extra for a scene in at the very start of the year) my real involvement with Nikhil and Chantale's project began at the end of the summer, when I joined the post-production team to work as the film's audio editor. Up until this point, my creative engagements in 2024 were predominantly in the form of illustrations and running educational workshops - none of whom were quite as meaty as Checklist has proved to be! I've learned so much from other people on the project, and I'd particularly like to give a big shout-out to Danne Pedersen from Footstep Film & Media for his invaluable advice and generous access to his studio equipment.
